St Mary's church in Fairford, Gloucester is probably one of the most famous churches in England. Being the only church to still be able to boast a full set of Medieval Stained Glass windows.

It sits in an idyllic setting made all the better on the days of my visit by clear blue skies and bright sunshine. This is TRN 12

DETAILS

 

The Manor of Fairford formed part of the "Honour of Gloucester" and in the 13th Century was held by the de Clare family, one of whom married the Daughter of the Earl of Gloucester.
